CANYONLANDS: This is truly one of the best rides offered in the states, taking in most of the spectacular National Parks and many canyons, gorges and passes that make up this one-of-a-kind Ride of a Lifetime.
After arriving in Denver, and taking the hotel shuttle to our first night accommodations, you'll watch us unload your bike from the trailer and attend an orientation meeting with details on our next days trip. We ensure everyone is gassed up and ready for an early morning departure. There's more on this procedure in our HAUL section. We'll ride up the peak-to-peak highway and through the Rocky Mountain Nat.Pk., staying in Hot Sulphur Springs, complete with plenty of mineral bath time in the mountains. The next day we ride southwest through Colorado to the Colorado Monument, a spectacular cliff formation overlooking Grand Junction, where we'll stay the night.
We head south the next morning through some great canyons and red rock formations, over to Moab, UT, where we stay to visit Arches NP, and Canyonlands NP. Further south we enter some wild geological formations in Monument Valley, up the infamous Moki Dugway to Natural Bridges NP and through the Glen Canyon Recreation Area - which will leave you breathless, and up to the Capitol Reef NP for the night.
We then go down the popular Hwy 12 through the Hogback formations to Bryce Canyon. We'll go through Cedar Breaks and Zion NP and then on to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon - not many ever get to the North Rim.
The next day we take a short hike through a Slot Canyon on our way to Four Corners monument. From there we go to Mesa Verde and Durango, up the Million Dollar Highway and into the Black Canyon of the Gunnison.
After a trip to Royal Gorge and Garden of the Gods, we head back to Denver, where we'll unpack the bikes, load them into the trailers, and enjoy a couple drinks after a long hot shower. The hotel will get you to the airport the next day, as me and the chase driver head out early to get your bikes back home as quickly, and safely, as possible.
We'll be staying in Rustic Cabins, KOA cabins, motels, and National Park Cabins. Reservations at these park accommodations require advance planning up to a year in advance - you just can't pop in and get these places! Read more about them in the ACCOMMODATIONS section.
